Apple Computer Caps (5) Group lot of five Apple Computer snapback and buckle caps: a dark blue cap with Apple rainbow logo; a turquoise cap with white Apple logo; a white cap with Finder ‘face’ logo above “Mac OS”; a white cap with multicolored “Apple” lettering; and a rare black promotional cap for the 1996 action film Mission: Impossible, the back bearing an Apple rainbow logo. In overall fine condition. The majority of these hats were once available to purchase from the Apple catalog. Apple Inc. had a $15 million promotion linked to the Tom Cruise movie that included a game, print ads, and television spot featuring scenes from the TV show turned into the feature film; dealer and in-theater promos; and a placement of Apple personal computers in the film.

Large centerpiece. Murano, 1970's-1980's. In translucent blue glass. Measurements: 8 x 43 x 43 cm. Centerpiece in navy blue Murano glass, with the seat and eaves decorated with organically inspired proliferations, reminiscent of filamentous algae from the bottom of the sea. Murano's reputation as a glassmaking center was born when the Republic of Venice, fearing fires and the destruction of the city's wooden buildings, ordered glassmakers to move their foundries to Murano in 1291. Murano glass is still associated with Venetian glass.
