Front portrait of Mme de Staal, 7 vignettes, 25 in-text figures and 8 hors-texte engravings, all drawn and etched by LALAUZE. Limited edition of 60 copies with double proofs of the hors texte; unjustified copy of 25 on Whatman paper. (Vicaire, I, 607.) Slightly faded spine, worn slipcase, very rare foxing, a fine copy in a signed double binding. Bookplate with romantic illustration "A.M.".
