The piece has a label that reads "Sicre, Au Pont-Neuf, Toulouse". The Sicre family saga began in 1912 with Pierre Sicre. Three generations later, two sisters, Françoise and Michèle, took over and brought the company into the 21st century. On December 31, 2015, the parent company of Sicre furniture closed its doors on rue des Frères Lion in Toulouse.
