An artist from Malaga trained at the School of Fine Arts in Madrid and in Italy thanks to a scholarship, Manuel Mingorance was a prolific painter and draftsman, and in 2009 he donated a total of 9,287 works, including paintings, drawings and engravings, to the City Council of his native Malaga, including nine works by other artists. This artistic corpus served as the basis for the successive exhibitions dedicated to him, including "Manuel Mingorance Acién. Paintings of the 1960s", organized in the hall that bears his name by the Municipal Board of the Central District of Malaga.
