Height: 25 cm. Diameter: 19.8 cm. A GILT AND SILVER INLAID QAJAR DAMASCENED STEEL SHIELD, PERSIA, 19TH CENTURY Of circular form with four central bosses, the exterior engraved and incised with gilt flower heads amidst foliage, the rim with calligraphic cartouches and roundels enclosing silver-inlaid inscriptions in Nastali'q script.
