A JAPANESE JADE GREEN CLOISONNÉ VASE, SHOWA PERIOD (1926-1989) Beautiful Japanese jade green cloisonné vase with Chrysanthemum (kiku) flower motif on both sides. Executed in different colors of blue, marked: Tamura Shippō. With silver rim on the top and bottom. Bottom mark with artist seal. See last picture please. In original marked wooden box. The very well known Tamura workshop was established in ca. 1880 in Shippōchō in Aichi Province and in now in its fifth generation owner. Owari cloisonné (after the old province name) is already used before. Manufactured for 180 years in the village of Shippōmura (Cloisonné village, so called since 1890). In 1966 the village was renamed Shippōchô (known in English as: Shippo Art Village) and in 2010 part of Ama (sleeping city of Nagoya). in perfect original condition. Approx. size: Height 28 cm, Diameter 21 cm, Diameter top 10 cm. Period: Japan - Shôwa period (1926-1989).
