SET OF 3 JAPANESE BRONZE OKIMONO 置物 OF PLAYING PUPPIES, MID 20TH CENTURY
Adorable set of three bronze okimono 置物 features charmingly plump puppies engaged in playful antics. One puppy is depicted sitting and eagerly raising a paw, while another is shown leaping toward the third, which is playfully lying on its back, its paw raised in a gesture of surprise. These delightful figures are cast in bronze with a dark patina, through which a hint of gold subtly shines. Two signed: 'Masaharu' 正晴.Period: Japan -Mid-Shôwa period (Mid-20th century). Dimensions: Puppy 1: Height 13 cm, Width 11 cm, Depth 15 cm. Weight 1.6 kg. Puppy 2: Height 19.5 cm, Width 18 cm, Depth 9.5 cm. Weight 2.1 kg. Puppy 3: Height 11.5 cm, Width 17.5 cm, Depth 15 cm. Weight 1.9 kg. in a very good original condition with superficial traces of wear and age of patina.
