A CHINESE LONGQUAN CELADON BOWL, MING DYNASTY, 15TH CENTURY A Chinese celadon bowl with low rounded sides, the exterior carved in relief with peonies and leaves above a carved band of petals around the glaze foot. The rim and base unglazed and burnt orange in the firing. Diameter: 17.6 cm. PROVENANCE Acquired in 1983 from B.J. Stein, Amsterdam, The Netherlands
