A late 18th century silver beard dish. It includes its basin and chinrest with water leaf friezes. Coat of arms under marquis's crown located at the bottom of the basin. Trace repeated on the basin. Each part (basin and chinrest) bears the title and guarantee hallmarks for PARIS 1798-1809. Master goldsmith's hallmarks: Jean-Nicolas BOULENGER ("JNB" and a pestle), received in 1783. Basin dimensions: H: 4.9 cm. L: 29.5 cm. D: 19.1 cm. Chinrest dimensions: W: 16.4 cm. D: 6.5 cm. Total weight: 510.8 grams.
