First edition printed in 325 copies; n°62 of 300 on bibliophile vellum, enriched with a very fine E.A.S. from the author to his friend and patron Edmond BOMSEL. Lawyer, bibliophile and collector, patron of several Surrealists and numerous artists, he financed the opening of André Breton's Gradiva gallery (1937), was one of the founders of Dubuffet's Compagnie de l'Art Brut (1948) and was also administrator of the Sagittaire publishing house. "The dream is a gaze plunged into infinity / Something blue like a corner of legend / A very shiny jewel that the sun tarnishes / Perhaps the only fruit that the day defends us... / (at least that's the idea I had in 1911, the date of the poem from which I extract this quatrain for my friend Edmond Bomsel) / André Breton / fifty years later!
