EUGÈNE PRINTZ (1889-1948) & FRENCH WORK From a model created circa [1930/32]. Middle table forming a bridge table; the base is not original. The reversible circular top has one side entirely trimmed in patinated brass; the other side initially trimmed with a felt game mat (missing) set in a walnut veneer frame. 1930's Moulded walnut corner legs (most probably from another Printz table) joined by a non-original spacer and paired later. Height: 80 cm - Width: 70 cm - Length: 80 cm Non-original legs and spacer, entablature displaced on its underside, reversible circular top felt missing, discoloration and oxidation to brass parts of entablature and circular top. Bibliography and related works - Nouveaux intérieurs français - 3e série - Éditions Charles Moreau, Paris, circa 1933. Identical entablature model reproduced on plate 29. - Mobilier et décoration, year 1936 - Variant entablature in palm veneer reproduced on page 169 in a retrospective article devoted to the decorator. - Guy Bujon and Jean-Jacques Dutko - Printz _ Éditions du Regard, Paris, 1986.
