In-12, granite calf, ornate ribbed spine, gilt roulette on the edges. First edition of this important work on Beauvais and its surroundings, illustrated with a vignette on the title. A fine copy, with a few old restorations.

First book printed in Beauvais, from the presses of Godefroy Vallet. This is not a detailed study of customs, but rather a comparison of various customs. The procès-verbaux des coutumes are not included, as they provide the most information on the characters and localities. Ex-libris "E Bibliotheca Altholii Doctoris" (Dr. Dautheuil). Cold-stamped A.
