Burger-Willing, W.H. - Wilhelm Heinrich Burger 1882 in Kalk, today Cologne - 1966 in Untermaubach in the Rur valley, also Willi Hans Burger-Willing, "Das Weinfelder Maar in der Eifel", oil on canvas, strong, impasto application of paint, use of dark earth and natural tones, large farmhouse with trees and water, in the foreground is a barge on the shore. The Weinfelder Maar, also known as the Totenmaar, was created by a volcanic steam explosion and is a landscape with a lake in the middle, next to which is a cemetery with a chapel, which gave rise to the landscape's nickname 'Totenmaar'. signed lower left, inscribed and titled on adhesive label verso, approx. 70x88 cm, minimal signs of age, frame bumped, approx. 84x103 cm. German painter, from 1908 to 1910 he studied as a scholarship holder at the Düsseldorf Academy of Art, until 1914 he was a master student of Professor Carl Ederer and Professor Eduard von Gebhardt, in 1935 the painter settled in Untermaubach near Düren. In the years that followed, he exhibited extensively, including at the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich in 1941 and at the Suermondt Museum in Aachen in 1949.

Wöhner, Louis - 1888 Coburg - 1958 Munich, "Viermaster", oil on canvas, large sailing ship on a coast with house and small boats, slightly soiled, min. hole in the canvas, c. 60x76cm, ra. dam, c. 73x93cm, German painter, from 1913 Wöhner studied at the academy of arts in Munich under Peter Halm, Carl von Marr and Hugo von Habermann, in 1918 he won a poster competition, from 1920 his paintings could be seen in the Munich Glaspalast. The late impressionist also exhibited regularly at the Munich Artists' Cooperative, of which he was a member. In 1927 and 1956 he showed his work at special exhibitions, and in 1938, 1939, 1940, 1943 and 1944 he was represented at the Great German Art Exhibition in Munich with six oil paintings.

Graetz, Theodor, German painter and illustrator, pupil of the Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg, studied from 1880 at the Munich Academy under Ludwig von Löfftz, worked as an illustrator and caricaturist for the Munich "Fliegenden Blätter" (Braun & Schneider), and 1890-97 employee of the "Münchner Bilderbogen", Member of the Reichsverband Bildender Künstler Deutschlands, the Verband Deutscher Illustratoren and the Münchner Sezession, represented at numerous exhibitions, including several times at the Munich Glaspalast, the exhibitions of the Münchner Sezession and the Große Berliner Kunstausstellung, active in Munich, source: Thieme-Becker, Dressler, Matrikel der Akademie München, Bruckmann "Münchner Maler des 19. Jh.", Müller-Singer and Internet.

Olszewski, Karl Ewald - 1884 Czernowitz / Ukraine - 1965 Munich; German painter and graphic artist (studied at the Academy in Vienna and from 1905 at the Academy in Munich under Hugo von Habermann and Ludwig von Herterich; stays in Paris and on the Fischland-Darß peninsula; participated in the exhibitions at the Munich Glaspalast; member of the Society of Arts in London from the early 1930s, was represented at the Great German Art Exhibitions 1938-44): "Wildschwäne im aufkommenden Sturm", color etching; handwritten title in pencil below the image on the left; handwritten signature "Karl Ewald Olzewsky München" on the right; plate approx. 28 x 39.5cm; somewhat browned / stained / light-stained; frame behind glass (traces of age, bumped, unopened, approx. 47.5 x 57.5cm)
