Large pair of antique perfume burner in chased and gilded bronze. The barrel is decorated with antique-style bacchantes and florets, and rests on a cylindrical base. The bowl, on a pedestal decorated with palmettes, is supported by two small putti. Signed "THOMIRE A PARIS". Circa 1810-1820. Bearing the labels of the Collection " A. Pair of large Napoleon III brûles parfums Bright green, violet and cream-colored veined fluorite and bronze. Over a three-sided concave base, curved struts with trestle feet and ram's heads in relief as supports for a baluster-shaped, partly open-worked body with a surrounding frieze of laurel leaves. H. 42 cm. Provenance: from the Michahelles Collection, Hamburg, which has grown over generations. A pair of French bronze and fluorite Napoleon III Brules parfumes. France. Circa 1900.
