A grand gala uniform, model 1840, comprising: a black cloth suit entirely embroidered with laurel and floral motifs in gold cannetille on the collar, chest, facings, waist escutcheon, pockets and basques, gold buttons adorned with a royal crown within a laurel wreath; a gilded bronze chamberlain's key bearing the Savoy coat of arms, with gilded girdle, cords and tassels attached to the back; a black taupe felt bicorne, gilded metal girdle with the royal CA cipher, royal blue silk cockade, black silk braid and feathers, gilded bangs; white pants with gilded side stripes. A suit of undress in midnight blue cloth with red collar and facings, embroidered with gold cannetilles on the collar, sleeve facings, pockets and waist escutcheon, gold buttons with the royal crown, waiting button and key holes on the back. A civil suit in black cloth with velvet collar, the gold buttons adorned with a royal crown within a laurel wreath. Wear.
