Letters Patent of Baron of the Empire. In the name of Guillaume Dode, Colonel of the Engineers. Baron of the Empire under the name "de la Brunerie". Bayonne, June 24, 1808. On vellum, coat of arms painted au naturel at top left. With red wax seal and ribbons (detached). 47 x 69 cm. In its tin case. The coat of arms of Baron Dode de la Brunerie is as follows: "Quarterly, I, Or, a dromedary sable; II, the quarter of the Military Barons of the Empire; III, Azure, a compass Or; IV, Argent, three crescents azure." Provenance: -Marshal Guillaume Dode de la Brunerie, -Then descendants.
