History: The bust is in the spirit of the Italian busts of Emperor Napoleon I, following in the footsteps of the Roman emperors. The model is Chaudet's bust. Little is known about Rocchi, except that he worked in Carrara and collaborated with Pietro Freccia in the 1840s.
