Caucasian shashka. Engraved silver-covered lug handle with foliate niello decoration. European blade (traces of hallmark on heel), curved, with hollow sides, engraved in thirds with foliage scrolls and trophies of arms. Varnished leather-covered wooden scabbard with two fittings (small repair to the bolt) and two engraved and nielloed silver bracelets en suite. Length: 89 cm. A.B.E. Mid 19th century.
