Oval seal in silver with the arms of Chevalier de l'Empire Jean Bernard Aignasse LEGLISE (b. 1768) 26.2 x 21.6 mm. Swan hallmark. Handle missing. B.E. First Empire period. History: Léglise, battalion commander of the 27th light infantry regiment, was knighted on January 3, 1809. A church appears on his coat of arms.
