MASSON Frédéric. Livre du sacre de l'Empereur Napoléon. Paris, Goupil, 1908; in-4, green morocco decorated on the boards with wide gilded lace and Napoleon's coat of arms in the center, ribbed spine decorated with gilded crowns and bees, gilded morocco inner frame, red silk lining and endpapers, gilded edges, cover, boxed green basane chagrinée decorated with Napoleon's coat of arms (Durvand). High-quality publication with plates after Isabey and Fontaine: 6 color costumes and 7 double-page scenes. It was intended to compensate for the absence of the original party book (described above). A deluxe copy, one of 50 printed on Japon, with 35 additional portraits: 4 in color and 31 in sepia. The volume is bound in morocco with Napoleon's coat of arms, perfectly preserved in its green morocco slipcase. Bookplates from two important collections: the heraldic collection of Olivier Le Bas and that of Cortland Bishop.
