EGYPT (Campaign of). Set of 3 printed pieces. - Bonaparte (Napoleon). Order of the General-in-Chief. From the imprimerie de l'armée navale, aboard the Orient, [1798]. Printed broadside, some tears. Dated 3 Messidor An VI [June 21, 1798] aboard the Orient, these provisions prohibit disorder and looting by troops in Egypt. - Bonaparte (Napoleon). Order of the General-in-Chief. De l'imprimerie de l'armée navale, à bord de l'Orient, [1798]. Broadside printed, some tears. Dated 6 Messidor An VI [June 24, 1798] aboard the Orient, these provisions are to be observed after disembarkation, concerning mainly horses and camels, but also Mamelukes, the seizure of tax coffers, and discipline. - Bonaparte (Napoleon). Proclamation by the General en Ghef [sic]. De l'imprimerie orientale et française d'Alexandrie, [1799]. In-folio printed folder, printed header illustrated with a woodcut effigy of the French Republic. Dated from headquarters in front of Acre on 28 Floréal Year VII [17 May 1799], it congratulates the Army on the capture of Acre, and announces that new trials await it against "part of the West".
