COSTANTINI, Marco (1915-2003). Album containing 12 engravings. (dated 1946) Delightful collection of etchings by the Italian engraver and ceramist who collaborated with Guido Andlovitz and Gio Ponti. Oblong folio, (270 x 385 mm album). 12 etchings signed, numbered and dated within contemporary album. (1)

CARJAT Etienne. (1828-1906). "Edouard Manet(1832-1883)". Vintage oval print on albumen paper in frame. Raised dry stamp signature on mount, below, "Photographie Carjat et Compagnie, 56 rue Lafitte". Circa 1860. H.25 L.18,5. Etienne CARJAT produced numerous portraits of artists and personalities of the Arts and Letters in his studio, which opened in 1860. Although we know of a few portraits of the great painter MANET, including one by NADAR, CARJAT's work is virtually unknown.
