(1828-1905), writer. Autograph letter signed, sent on a Friday morning to his friend Adolphe d'Ennery, writer and playwright, on stationery with the letterhead of the Grand Hôtel Louvre et Paix in Marseille, in which he gives him news and thanks him for his welcome and hospitality at Cap d'Antibes. "Our program has changed a little. I found my brother-in-law Ducrest de Villeneuve in Toulon, who had arrived the day before from the West Indies with the Ceres he was ordering. So we had to spend the day on board... Madame Verne is well. She asks me to convey her regards and thanks to Madame Desgranges; I enclose mine and hers...". Jules Verne was one of the witnesses at the wedding of M. d'Ennery and Madame Desgranges, in May 1881. One page in-4 and 1/4, in brown ink.
