Henri LAVEDAN (1859-1940), journalist and playwright. Signed autograph manuscript of chapter XIV "La Dame du mardi" from his novel "Les Petites Visites" in the form of 5 in-4 leaves on blue paper, in brown ink, cut into 4 pieces each, numbered A to R in blue pencil. The manuscript contains numerous erasures, additions, underlining and corrections. It corresponds to the final printed version, with three exceptions. Attached is a set of 5 autograph letters, signed and on the letterhead of Le Correspondant, a French Catholic journal, 29 rue de Tournon, of which he is the director; they were written between February and May 1885, and one is dated May 30, 1899. They are addressed to a new contributor and show how the magazine works. The set comprises 9 in-12 pages, in brown ink.
