A William IV silver-gilt 'castle-top' vinaigrette, Abbotsford House, by Taylor & Perry, Birmingham 1836, rectangular form, the hinged cover with a scene of the house, engine-tuned base and sides with a vacant cartouche, with a pierced and engraved silver-gilt foliate scroll grille, length 4.5cm, approx. weight 1oz. Provenance: A Private Collection. Purchased from Christie's South Kensington, 7 July 1999, lot 23.
