An Edwardian 9-carat gold combination vesta and snuff box, by William Hornby, London 1904, plain rounded rectangular form, the hinged cover opens to reveal a compartment with a ring attachment, with a crest above initials inlaid with small diamonds, the reverse inscribed 'May 20th 1903', length 6cm, approx. weight 64.7g. Provenance: A Private Collection of Vesta Cases. The crest is that of Fosbery of Clorance and Curragh Bridge, Co. Limerick, Ireland.
