Caucasian kilim, 20th century. Hand-knotted wool. Measurements: 298 x 203 cm. Originally from the Caucasus, this flat woven kilim follows the design canons of this region, with a fine texture and rich polychromy. It combines chromatic stripes in different tones (red, cream, white, blue, sienna, green) and integrates small motifs representing livestock and synthetic figures. Wool dyed with vegetable substances. Kilim is a word of Turkish origin and is practiced in the geographical area that includes parts of the region of Turkey (Anatolia and Thrace), North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and China. Kilims are flat-weave carpets, without knots, which are woven by passing the weft threads through the warp threads; a particularity that conditions their design.

Predominantly blue, orange, ochre and cream tones. Wool dyed with vegetable substances. Kilim is a word of Turkish origin and is practiced in the geographical area that includes parts of the region of Turkey (Anatolia and Thrace), North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and China.
