VAN CLEEF & ARPELS "Pelouse" Bracelet Brand : VAN CLEEF & ARPELS In 18k yellow gold, formed of a curved ribbon, set with round rubies interspersed with four links set with brilliant-cut diamonds Signed and numbered Circa 1970 Length: approx. 17.5 cm, Gross weight: 46.92 g A cousin of the "Couscous" model, the "Pelouse" bracelet was created by Van Cleef & Arpels in the late 1940s, and evokes the plant theme so dear to the Parisian house. Available in diamonds, rubies, sapphires or emeralds, it also comes in a variety of formats. The flexibility of this model and the choice of admirable quality stones are testimony to the taste for colorful associations that endured from the 1950s to the 1970s.
