Small folio (24 x 14 cm) in ff. of 12 plates of handwritten copies of François Coppée's poems illustrated with ORIGINAL DRAWINGS in ink and watercolor, monogrammed GD, under a cover illustrated with an ORIGINAL DRAWING in ink, signed G. Deluc, dated 1902, with handwritten title in black ink. The cover is slightly foxed. Gabriel Deluc was a portrait painter born in Saint Jean de Luz in 1883 and killed by the Germans on September 15, 1916.

The author was the great cosmographer of the Indies (1770) and chronicler of the Indies (1775). Charles III commissioned him in 1779 a history of America and in 1793 he published a volume of the History of the New World covering the period from the discovery to 1500. He proposed the idea of the creation of the General Archive of the Indies. Volume 1 (the only one published). Scarce work: only two sales records in RBH since 1992.
