Art déco - BARBIER (George). La Guirlande des mois. Paris, Jules Meynial, 1917-1921. 5 volumes in-18, silk, illustrated and filled covers, gilt edges, illustrated cases. Rare complete collection of these delightful little almanacs. Illustrated with 5 colored title vignettes and 31 plates engraved and stenciled by Georges Barbier. In addition to Barbier's beautiful plates, each almanac contains a calendar and texts or poems by Henri de Régnier, René Boylesve or the Comtesse de Noailles. A good copy. Covers and slipcases a little browned.

Illustrated with a colored title vignette and 6 plates engraved and stenciled by Georges Barbier. Dust jacket partly browned, case slightly worn, otherwise very good condition for this delightful almanac, the first of a series of five. Ex-libris JM.

Large in-4 ff, cover illustrated in color by G. BARBIER, in posterior slipcase illustrated with a color reproduction of the cover. Spine of cover restored, edges of cover slightly rubbed. 43 illustrations by George Barbier, woodcut and stencilled with gold or silver highlights in places: cover, 19 full-page and 23 in-text + ornamental headpieces and endpieces. Without Albert Pommier's medal bookmark, often missing. Edition of 125 copies on watermarked vellum; ex. no. 95. A fine copy. One of Barbier's masterpieces, and unquestionably one of the finest illustrated editions of Bilitis.

Small in-12 granite calf, ornate smooth spine, green mar. title p., triple gilt fillet framing the boards (late 18th c. post. binding). A very fine copy. A few small brown spots. Bottom of title page restored (handwritten bookplate hidden). Ex-libris JM (Barbier I, 47.)
