Paris, 1798-1809. Pair of KNIVES, the handles in pink shaded mother-of-pearl, one with a steel blade, the other in vermeil. Handles adorned with a vermeil escutcheon for the vermeil blade and a silver escutcheon for the steel blade. The steel blade is signed AINGUENIN. Vermeil ferrules and caps. Master goldsmith Pierre BIZOS (cutlery specialist, worked in Passage Radziwill, Paris). L. 18.5 cm (accident and restoration).
