PENDULE religieuse, in Boulle marquetry of red tortoiseshell and engraved brass scrolls, the glass front revealing a gilt bronze dial, adorned with a medallion with a bust of Louis XV as a child, surrounded by enameled cartouches with blue Roman numerals. Signed I. Thuret in Paris, in an oval medallion flanked by two renown figures playing trumpets. Base enhanced with Louis XIV-inspired passementerie drapery. Openwork pediment, enhanced with toupets. Movement signed Viallard. Louis XIV style, Napoleon III period. 57 x 30 x 12 cm (Some lifting of the veneer, small accidents). A cartouche SUPPORT in BoulLe brass marquetry and brown tortoiseshell is included. Style, Louis XV.( Many missing pieces).
