Type: Chest, casket Materials: Wood, metal Markings & Inscriptions: Unmarked Date: Late 19th / early 20th century Maker: Chinese, Japanese Dimensions: Chinese: 16.5" x 12" x 14". Japanese: 11" x 12" x 6". Provenance: From a Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania collection. The Japanese example is in poor condition with losses and a few missing parts. The Chinese chest may be missing a central pin between the two doors.
