He has grouped the subjects into four parts: 1° - Ecclesiastical jurisdiction, those who exercise it, laws, penalties, appeals. - 2° - Profits. - 3° - Holy things. - 4° - Church property, tithes, charges, decimals, clergy assemblies, ecclesiastical privileges. In each chapter, he inserts proofs and documents. The whole is preceded by a historical dissertation on the origin and progress of ecclesiastical law.
