French school of the 19th century, in the taste of the Flemish school of the 16th century "Scène de jeux en intérieur", oil on canvas, size when viewed: 38 x 32 cm (framed, some missing parts) Comment: This painting is probably a study by a young painter of the 19th century, who deepened his practice by copying the paintings of masters. Since Louis XV, the Louvre's collections have held a painting entitled "Le mois de février - jeu de vric vrac", by an 18th-century Dutch school, based on an earlier model by the Maître des mois Lucas. This canvas is currently on loan to the Musée National du Château de Fontainebleau.
