KIRMAN carpet (Iran), 1st third of the 20th century Dimensions: 210 x 125cm. Technical features: Wool velvet on cotton backing. An ivory field hosts a "Zil-I-Sultan" design composed of a series of large vases with polychrome floral bouquets in staggered rows. The main ruby border is framed by two sky-colored counter-borders, all three with garlands of flowers. Beautiful, exuberant graphics (Wear, as is).
