Convolute of traditional costume bonnets six pieces, South German/Alpine region, 19th century, Cardboard base or wire frame with fabric cover and fine floral bouillon and lahn embroidery in silver or gold metal threads, partly with gold foil, glass bead and sequin trimming and waxed paper, consisting of a bonnet and four different maiden or bridal crowns, including a wreath and fabric flower wreath, plus a golden bonnet with lace brim and two-part hairpin, this filigree work made of formerly gilded metal, various signs of age and wear, l max. 23 cm.

Loto à caches France, circa 1860 Loto à caches (France, circa 1860). Varnished mahogany box, size 21 x 11.5 x 16 cm; light fillet framing on top; two small closing hooks on front. The interior is divided into two compartments: one contains 24 game cards, size 18.3 x 10 cm, with metal covers and metal rods for lifting the covers; the other contains 90 numbered boxwood pieces. French lotto game from the Napoleon III period. This is a concealed version of the classic lotto game. There are four sets of six game cards (blue, green, yellow or red rectos); each card is divided into squares, fifteen of which are numbered. These numbered squares have two numbers: one at the top is printed in a large body, the other at the bottom is printed in a small body; between the two numbers is a metal cover that can be folded over either one. When a number is drawn from the bag, the player whose number appears on one of his cards folds back the cover with a metal rod and covers the large number, while the uncovered small number serves as a reminder. A fine example, but as always, some covers are missing (26/36).
