Interior with thread spools and other carved bone and mother-of-pearl implements. Lined in blue velvet. Crack in the top of the box. Measurements: 13 x 31 x 21 cm. This Victorian sewing box is characterized by the beautiful wood grain interrupted by a fine metal fillet. With a prismatic structure and a hinged top lid, it has a lock and a metal plate on the top. The interior of the box is compartmentalized, lined with sky blue velvet and decorated with Grecian motifs. The sewing instruments have been worked in bone and mother-of-pearl.
