Large Baroque walnut and walnut burl chest of drawers, veneered and inlaid with ash wood, engraved pewter and ivory. Curved body at the sides on a fluted frame and sawn feet. Four wide, opposing curved drawers in the articulated front. Slightly protruding, corresponding top panel with figural inlay. Wide framed veneer panels covering the entire surface, bordered by band inlays. Lavish bronze mounts in leaf relief. H. 94 cm. 120 cm x 64.5 cm. CITES certificate available. Provenance: Kunstauktionshaus Schloss Ahlden, November 1986, auction 46, November 1986, lot 639. A large Brunswick walnut veneered Baroque chest of drawers with inlays of ivory, tin and ashwood.
