Created in 2011, this intricate piece was crafted in celebration of Italian author Carlo Collodi, the creator of Pinocchio. Collodi was born in Florence in 1826 and worked as a librarian, translator, novelist, author, and political writer. His story has enchanted generations and has been the subject of numerous adaptations in film, art and theatre. The ballpoint pen features dark brown precious resin, accented by the books iconic characters: the voracious whale, the loyal cricket, the shady fox, the deceitful cat and the good fairy, are featured on the skeletonised cap overlay.
