In-8 turf-green morocco, smooth spine adorned with title in silver lettering, cold-stamped fillets, date at tail, wide green paper band decorated with gilt and silver dots with vertical palladium scroll separating boards, palladium head, untrimmed, covers and spine preserved (Creuzevault). First edition illustrated with 6 original engravings by Laboureur, including the frontispiece and one hors texte. Edition of 1220 numbered copies; n°221 of 1000 on Annonay wove paper. Spine and boards partly sunned, otherwise a fine copy, elegantly bound. Ex-libris JM.
