Large volume in-4 of [32]-xx-806-[1 bl.]-[51] pp. ivory vellum, handwritten title on spine (contemporary binding). Title in red and black. Marginal wormholes in places. One of the earliest editions of the customs of Troyes en Champagne by Pierre Pithou (1539-1596), a lawyer in Troyes. It also includes a compendium of the bishops of Troyes, a memoir of the hereditary counts of Champagne and Brie with proofs of genealogy, the ordinances of Philippe le Bel and the ancient customs of Troyes.
