France, Liberation period (1944-45) and Indochina War (1946-1954). Model 1935 infantry troop or non-commissioned officer kepi with light khaki cotton cheesecloth cap. Rigid carcass, no Hungarian knot, black headband, original mounted kepi cover "fixed" to the kepi using the buttons on the false chinstrap (impossible to remove from the kepi without damaging it). Black leather visor, edged with a black leather trim. Blue satinette inner cap with protective mica and brown leather sweatband. Worn. (Wear and accidents from use. Fairly good condition).
