Jules BLANCHARD was a French sculptor, son-in-law of Denis Foyatier and pupil of François Jouffroy. He won the Prix de Rome in 1832 and was awarded a gold medal at the 1889 Exposition Universelle. You can see his work in Paris, notably at the Jardin du Luxembourg and the Musée d'Orsay.
