GAMES - PUZZLE 1880's - ATLAS / Curved wooden case (19 x 40 x 10 cm), covered in tobacco percaline, top studded with gilded ornaments and world map, captioned "Atlas Géographique", inside lined with blue paper, containing a wooden puzzle with over 130 pieces, titled "Tableau des anciens grands gouvernements de la France indiquant l'époque et les circonstances de leur réunion à la Couronne", published by Augustin Logeroy in Paris and engraved by D. Monin. Monin, the mounted puzzle measures 53 x 70 cm (used condition and traces of the passage of time). Note that the Lorraine and Alsace departments do not appear on the French map, but a few overseas departments are mentioned (French Guiana, Tahiti).
