ENRICO PARNIGOTTO (Padua,1908-2000). "Female bust. Blued bronze. Signed. Measurements: 41 x 38,5 x 25 cm. Round sculpture made in bronze, representing a female bust. The lady shows an ideal face of symmetrical features, of clear classical roots, but realistic. The author thus offers us an image of restrained expressiveness. Regarding the technical and formal aspects, the sculptor demonstrates a great mastery of the craft, a virtuosity particularly evident in details such as the hair, with softly trepanned curls. Enrico Parnigotto graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. He held several solo exhibitions in Padua and also exhibited in group exhibitions in Munich, Paris, Warsaw and Moscow. He participated in several editions of the Venice Art Biennale. He worked in ceramics and devoted himself to engraving, although his most used material was bronze, becoming a characteristic feature of his artistic production.
