GEORGES CALLOT (Paris, 1857-1903). "The photograph". Ink and pencil on paper. Signed in the lower left corner. Measurements: 23 x 18 cm; 36 x 30 cm (frame). A painter of genre, allegorical scenes and nudes, Georges Callot trained at the School of Decorative Arts and then at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He participated for the first time in the Salon in 1877. In 1890, he became a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts. Today his work is preserved in museums such as the Musée d'Orsay in Paris, in Châlons-en-Champagne or the Art Renewal Center.
