DIAMETER 8.4 cm WEIGHT 109.9 g Condition: Good condition with old wear, an old repair to one wing in silver, suggesting the rim was likely added at the same time. With a wood tomobako storage box. Literature comparison: Compare two related iron sukashi tsuba, one with monkey tumbler toys and the other with a dragon fly, both dated early Muromachi period, illustrated in Sasano, Masayuki (1972) Early Japanese Sword Guards: Sukashi Tsuba, p. 34 and 42.
