A GROUP OF THREE KOREAN INLAID PAINTINGS AND A CHINESE PAINTING A GROUP OF THREE KOREAN INLAID PAINTINGS AND A CHINESE PAINTING Korea and China, 20th century. Each set inside a vintage frame, one behind glass. The three Korean paintings mostly worked with numerous shells inlays, one depicting red-crowned cranes, other cockerels and birds on lush tress, and the last a mountainous landscape. The fourth painting rendered in ink, watercolors, and gouache on silk, depicting a ribbon-tailed bird perched on a tree. Inscriptions: One painting inscribed in Korean. The Chinese painting signed ‘Zhan de’ with seal. Provenance: From a private collection in Zagreb, Croatia. Condition: Good condition with wear. Expected losses to inlays, some stains, minor soiling, and light foxing. The frames in good condition with usual traces of wear and age. Dimensions: Length c. 73 cm-37 cm, Width c. 48 cm-32 cm

Of lobed lozenge form, rising from a tapering foot to a squared neck, finely painted to one side with Shoulao holding a peach in his left hand and his staff in the right hand, dressed in loose robes above swirling clouds, the reverse with a poem about Shoulao as well as three seal marks, all framed by gilt borders to the neck and above the foot. The recessed base with an apocryphal four-character Qianlong mark. Matching stopper. Provenance: Hungarian private collection. Condition: Excellent condition with minor wear. Stopper: Porcelain stopper, carved spoon Weight: 54.2 g Dimensions: Height including stopper 69.5 mm. Length neck 16 mm and mouth 7.5 mm
