Aristide Bruant is considered a slang poet, and was featured in a famous poster by Toulouse-Lautrec.

First edition on the cathedral of Auch, decorated with a color map of Aquitaine, and 39 lithographed plates including a two-tone view of the cathedral. Some freckling, view detached from binding.

In-4 oblong, green half-calf with corners, smooth spine decorated (period binding). Single atlas consisting of a title, a list of plates and 35 lithographed plates, most of them based on drawings by Aristide Verdalle, Surgeon-Assistant-Major of the Army of Africa (portrait of the last bey of Constantine, views of the Ziban oases, Tell monuments). A fine copy.
